The Annual WYCYF Junior Sail Spaghetti Dinner + Reunion returns!

WHERE:     Larsen Marine Service, 625 E Sea Horse Drive, Waukegan, IL 60085

REGISTER: https://www.payit2.com/p/spaghettidinnerjrsail

The Spaghetti Dinner is our kick off event for our summer 2017 program.  You’ll enjoy raffles, a silent auction, the unveiling of the NEW extended WYC Junior Sail schedule, and meet current Junior Sailors, parents, board members and alumni.  And, of course, don’t forget the SPAGHETTI!!

This fundraising event supports the Waukegan Yacht Club Junior Sail program. Waukegan Yacht Club Youth Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Last year’s event was a real blast!  Check out these photos from 2016: https://www.facebook.com/pg/WYCYFJuniorSail/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1720878221493617

Junior Sailors and parents: We need volunteers to help organize the raffles, auction and outreach activities for this event, as well as Junior Sailors to serve food (Junior volunteers eat for free!). Let us know if you can help: info@juniorsail.org.

Conveniently located at Waukegan Harbor at the Waukegan Yacht Club

We hold our classes at Waukegan Yacht Club, but you do not need to be a Yacht Club member to participate. Waukegan Harbor is an easy drive from the north, west and south. A number of our students take the Metra train up from the North Shore every morning. We can make arrangements to have a sail instructor meet your children at the station and walk the two short blocks to the Yacht Club.

Please share program information with friends and family. Help us grow the Junior Sail program!

WYC Junior Sail Alumni Regatta NOR

WYCYF Junior Sail Alumni Regatta

June 25 – after the Chicago-Waukegan Race

Let’s not call it a “GRUDGE MATCH”… it’s an “Alumni Regatta”. We know you can race the big boats, but do you still have enough skill to win a dinghy race? Mark your territory and bring your “A” game! Bragging rights are on the line and the trash talk had better be cheap!

Divisions will be set based upon participation. The judges can also be BRIBED to create match-ups. So, if you have a score to settle, a disagreement with a past instructor, or a deep seeded need to teach a former class mate the lesson he/she so richly deserved… settle it here, in our harbor, on our water, with our boats.

Unfortunately, you will need to be an Alumni from WYCYF Junior Sail to race – but egging racers on is open to everyone…
